King Charles is officially visiting Guyana. This comes right after his trip to the Bahamas, which people are calling a big success.
There is a lot to talk about on this visit. The King met with the president of Guyana. This is a big deal because the president has previously asked for money, or reparations, for the history of slavery in the region.
Beyond the serious talks, the King spent some time connecting with the local culture. He was offered a special kind of rum made just for his visit. He gave it a two-word review, keeping things light and friendly. He also shared a joke about his own mother, the late Queen, and her fondness for rum.
During his time in the country, the King also spoke about the environment. He urged other countries around the world to look at how Guyana protects its forests. He thinks Guyana is doing a great job that others should copy to help the planet.
