A tragic shark attack has left a man dead at a popular beach in Australia. The victim has been identified as Greg O'Neill. He was a father and was looking forward to becoming a grandfather soon.

People who were at the beach when it happened described the scene as horrifying. One witness said they saw a large pool of blood in the water. Another person said it felt like something out of the movie "Jaws."

Mr. O'Neill was swimming with a friend when the attack took place. It happened in front of many people who were visiting the beach at the time.

Because of the severity of the attack, local officials have taken the rare step of issuing a "kill order." This means they are actively searching for the shark involved. They want to remove it from the area to keep other swimmers safe.

Authorities are warning people to stay out of the water in that area while the search for the shark continues.
