Ukraine has stepped up its attacks on Russia's oil industry. They have hit 15 oil refineries so far. These are the big factories where oil is turned into fuel for cars and trucks.

Experts say these attacks have caused about $23.2 billion in damage. Because these factories are being hit, Russia is having a harder time making enough diesel fuel. This is a big problem for Russia’s economy.

In just the past week, Ukraine hit six different oil plants. This shows they are speeding up their campaign to target Russia's energy supply.

One recent strike at the Afipsky oil refinery led to a massive fire. During the exchange of attacks, there was also news of one person killed and three others hurt in Ukraine.

Russia is feeling the pressure from these hits. The strikes are designed to hurt Russia's ability to sell oil and make money to pay for their war. As the attacks continue, it is becoming clear that Russia’s oil business is a main target in this fight.
