Nigeria uncovers second fake government agency; President orders immediate investigation

Nigeria is dealing with a bizarre scandal. Officials have found a second fake government agency operating inside the country.
For years, a man pretended to run a government office that did not actually exist. He even set up a network of coordinators across the country and had people representing this fake office in China and the United States.
President Bola Tinubu has taken quick action. He has suspended three permanent secretaries—high-ranking government employees—who were linked to this office. The President has also ordered the police to find and arrest the man who claimed to be the head of this fake organization.
This is not the first time this has happened. It is the second fake agency uncovered recently within the office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation.
Authorities are now trying to figure out how someone could trick the government and the public for so long. They are investigating how the fake agency operated and who else might be involved in this massive scam.
