Russia and Ukraine hit each other with a new wave of air strikes overnight. At least 11 people have been killed in the fighting.
In Ukraine, a missile strike hit a large steel plant owned by the company ArcelorMittal. The company says two people were killed at the site. This attack was part of a larger push by Russia, which also sent drones toward the area around Moscow, Russia's capital city.
Meanwhile, Russia says Ukraine launched one of its biggest attacks of the year. Russian officials claim that at least seven people were killed during these Ukrainian strikes.
The situation is causing a lot of anger. In Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine, thousands of people took to the streets to protest the ongoing violence.
In other news related to the conflict, a top Russian economist was reportedly fired. Reports say the economist lost their job after speaking out and warning that the war is having a very bad effect on Russia’s economy.
Both sides are continuing to target each other's infrastructure and cities as the war enters a new and intense phase.
