The Prime Minister of Samoa is saying sorry today. This comes after a video from 2007 started spreading online. In the video, the Prime Minister is seen making a Nazi salute, which is also known as a 'Heil Hitler' gesture.
The video was taken at a family reunion many years ago. In it, the leader is seen making the move while others are around. Many people were upset when they saw the video.
The Prime Minister apologized for the clip. The leader explained that the gesture was meant to be a joke at the time, but now realizes it was wrong. The Prime Minister expressed deep regret for the offense caused by the old footage.
Nazi symbols are considered very offensive by people all over the world because of the harm caused by the Nazi party in the past. Even though the video is old, it has caused a big stir in Samoa and in the international news.
