Sweden’s leader gives up on forming a new government

Sweden is currently stuck in a political mess. Magdalena Andersson, who leads the Social Democrat party, said today that she cannot form a government.
Andersson recently won a very close race, but she could not find enough support from other political parties to get her plans through. In Sweden, the leader needs the support of different parties to pass laws and run the country. Because the vote was so tight, the math just didn't add up for her.
She told the public that there is simply no way to form a working team right now. This leaves Sweden in a state of political deadlock. This is a fancy way of saying that things have come to a stop and no one is sure what will happen next.
Political leaders will now have to figure out a new plan to get the country moving again. For now, the future of the Swedish government remains unclear.
