Trade wars are making it harder to switch to electric cars
Countries are fighting over trade, and it's putting the brakes on the world's move toward clean energy and electric vehicles.

The world is trying to switch from gas cars to electric ones to help the planet. But right now, this shift is hitting a wall.
Countries are getting into trade wars. This means they are putting heavy taxes or strict rules on products coming from other places. These fights are making it much more expensive and difficult to build electric cars and the batteries they need.
Most electric car parts, like batteries, come from a few specific places. When countries put up barriers, it stops these parts from moving across the world easily.
Because of these fights, car companies are having a hard time getting the pieces they need at a fair price. This makes the cars more expensive for regular people to buy. It also means that building the factories needed for this new technology is taking longer than expected.
Simply put, the political fighting between nations is slowing down the progress toward greener travel. If these trade tensions don't cool off, the goal of getting everyone into electric vehicles might take much longer than we thought.
