Yemen is sliding back into a full-scale war. The Houthis and the Yemeni government are trading heavy attacks again. This comes after a long period of quiet, but now the violence is spreading.

It isn't just happening on land. The Houthi rebels are also moving their fight to the ocean. They have started attacking ships in the Red Sea. They recently claimed they hit a Saudi Arabian vessel. These kinds of attacks are causing big problems for shipping companies around the world.

Because of the danger, local ports are closing. The port of al-Makha is one of them. This is bad news for the people who live there. Workers and traders are scared for their jobs and don't know how they will make money or get supplies in the future.

Major news outlets like The New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, and the Financial Times are all reporting that the Houthis are stepping up their campaign against Saudi Arabia.

Things are becoming very unstable in the region. As the fighting on land gets worse and the attacks at sea continue, it is becoming a very difficult time for everyone in Yemen and anyone who uses those waters for trade.
