Houthi rebels have launched a wave of attacks against targets in Saudi Arabia and Yemen. The strikes hit multiple airports, causing deaths and shaking up an already tense situation in the Middle East.
In Saudi Arabia, officials reported that three people were killed during attacks on the country's airports. Saudi-led forces said they were able to shoot down some of the missiles and drones before they hit, specifically in the city of Khamis Mushait. However, the damage was significant enough to cause loss of life.
Meanwhile, in Yemen, the Aden airport was hit by an attack. This happened as fighting between different groups in the country has been getting worse.
These attacks are part of a long-running conflict between the Houthi rebels and a coalition led by Saudi Arabia. The rebels, who operate out of Yemen, frequently use drones and missiles to reach across the border into Saudi territory.
At the same time, violence has also flared up in other parts of the region, including reports of attacks on olive harvesters in the West Bank.
World leaders are watching the situation closely, as these latest strikes show how quickly the fighting can spread and how dangerous the conflict remains for civilians in both Saudi Arabia and Yemen.
