Drones are everywhere in the war in Ukraine. These small, flying robots can see almost anything. If a drone spots a soldier, it can call in an attack. This has made the battlefield very dangerous.
Because of this, soldiers have had to change how they fight. They cannot move around in the open anymore. If they are seen, they are likely to be hit. This has turned the war into a dangerous game of cat and mouse.
Soldiers spend most of their time trying to stay hidden. They move at night when it is harder to see. They hide under trees or in deep holes in the ground. They even use special blankets that hide their body heat so cameras cannot spot them.
It is a stressful way to fight. You always have to be looking up. You never know when a drone is watching you. Even when they are not fighting, soldiers have to be quiet and still.
Technology has made war faster and more precise. But for the people on the ground, it mostly means that you can never really relax. Staying hidden is now just as important as being a good shot.
