Scientists just found something interesting about the past. They studied a grave that is 2,800 years old. They found cannabis seeds and hair that suggest people were using the plant to get high back then.

This happened in a place that is now part of China. Researchers studied the tomb and looked at what was left behind. They found that the cannabis plants grown there had high levels of THC. THC is the part of the plant that changes how your brain feels and makes you feel 'high.'

Before this discovery, many people thought that ancient humans mostly used cannabis just to make rope or clothes. They used the fibers of the plant for those things. But this new study shows that they were also using it as a drug to change their mood or state of mind.

Experts say this is the oldest clear evidence we have that humans were using the plant for this purpose so long ago. It shows that people have been looking for ways to alter their senses for a very long time.

The findings were published by several groups, including scientists who looked at the biological clues in the tomb. It paints a picture of ancient life that is a little more like our own than we might have thought.
