Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine, is under heavy fire today. Russia launched a large-scale attack using both jet-powered drones and ballistic missiles.
Air raid sirens went off at least nine times throughout the day, forcing people to take shelter. These attacks come right after an incident involving a space center. Some reports suggest these strikes are being carried out as a form of revenge.
Emergency services are on the ground. Tragically, at least two people have been reported killed in the strikes, though other sources are confirming at least one death. The situation remains dangerous as the city deals with the aftermath of these explosions.
Officials are urging residents to stay in safe spots as the military monitors the skies for further threats.
