Russia moves deeper into the Donbas as Ukraine prepares for tough battles

Russian forces are slowly pushing forward in eastern Ukraine. Ukrainian troops are digging in for what looks like a very hard fight to hold onto their final positions.

Russia is making slow progress in the Donbas region of Ukraine. The Donbas is an area in the east that Russia has been trying to take over for a long time. They are moving forward step by step, taking small amounts of land.

Ukraine is now getting ready for the next phase of the war. They know this will be a very difficult fight. Ukraine is working to protect the last few towns and cities they still hold in the area.

It is going to be a brutal battle. A brutal fight means there will be a lot of danger and heavy fighting. Both sides are putting everything they have into this struggle. For Ukraine, holding onto these last spots is very important to stop Russia from taking more territory.
