Russia’s Attempt to Copy Starlink is Falling Out of the Sky

Russia is trying to build a satellite network just like Starlink. Starlink is the system run by Elon Musk that provides internet from space. Russia wants its own version, but it is not going well.
Recent reports show that Russia’s plan is failing. A whole group of their new satellites recently failed to reach the right height. Instead of staying up in space to provide internet, they are falling back toward the Earth.
This is a big problem for Russia. They have been working hard to create their own internet-from-space system, but the technology is not working as planned. Because the satellites are falling, the network cannot even get started.
Experts say this is a major setback. The goal was to have a reliable way to get internet access, but right now, the space equipment is just falling out of the sky. This comes at a difficult time as fighting continues in Ukraine, where these kinds of satellite systems are very important for communication.
For now, the Russian project is grounded. It seems like their version of Starlink is stuck on the launchpad, while their current satellites are crashing back down.
