Russia's Goals in Ukraine Are Falling Behind Again

Experts say Russia is missing its deadlines to take over the Donbas region, and even its own claims of victory are being questioned.

Russia is struggling to meet its goals in the war against Ukraine. Reports from the Institute for the Study of War and news outlets like The Kyiv Independent show that Russia has once again missed its deadline to capture the Donbas region.

The military situation is not going as planned for Moscow. Experts suggest that at this slow pace, it could take Russia until 2032 to fully take control of the Donetsk area.

There is also confusion regarding claims coming from the Russian government. People are questioning a recent announcement from Vladimir Putin about a victory in a battle. Observers believe this claim was fake and likely made using AI technology, leading many to call it "battlefield fiction."

Basically, the Russian military is asking for more time, and their official stories about winning are not matching what is actually happening on the ground. The fighting continues, but Russia remains far from reaching its targets.
