Big changes are happening in Serbia. After a major election, students have managed to push strongman leader Aleksandar Vučić out of power.
For a long time, Vučić ran the country with a very tight grip. Many people felt he had too much control. In this recent election, young people—especially students—led the charge to vote him out. They organized, spoke up, and turned out in record numbers to change the future of their country.
Now that the election is over, the country is seeing a lot of chaos. People are being held by the police, some officials are quitting their jobs, and there are many investigations happening.
Experts say the hard part is just beginning. While getting Vučić out was a huge win for these students, actually fixing the government and running the country will be a much tougher job. There is a lot of work ahead to make sure the new leaders do what they promised and bring real change to Serbia.
We will keep watching this story as it develops.
