Tragedy in India: 7 Die in Temple Stampede

A sad tragedy happened in eastern India today. At least seven people have died after a stampede at a Hindu temple in the state of Bihar.
A stampede happens when a large crowd of people gets scared or excited and starts pushing or running in a panic. In this case, reports say the crowd became impossible to control. Many other people were hurt during the chaos.
In a separate and unrelated event, a fire also broke out at a hotel in the same part of India. When you look at both incidents together, officials say at least 14 people have lost their lives in the region today.
Police and rescue teams are working on the ground right now. They are helping the people who were injured and trying to figure out exactly how these accidents happened.
