Trial Begins for Killers of Two Australian Brothers and Their American Friend in Mexico

A court case has started in Mexico. Three men are on trial for the murder of three surfers. The victims were two brothers from Australia, Jake and Callum Robinson, and their friend from the United States, Jack Carter Rhoad.
The three men went missing in May 2024 while they were on a surfing trip in Baja California, Mexico. Their bodies were later found at the bottom of a well.
During the trial, the father of the Robinson brothers, Martin Robinson, spoke to the court. He described the terrible experience of having to identify his sons' bodies. He told the court that what his family has gone through has been “hell.”
New details also came out during the court session. Officials said the FBI helped local Mexican police find where the bodies were hidden. The case drew a lot of attention because the three men had been traveling and surfing in the area when they suddenly stopped contacting their families.
The trial will continue as the court listens to more evidence about what happened to the three friends. The families of the victims are hoping for justice after this tragic event.
