Ukraine is getting a major upgrade to its air defense systems. France has sent more of its 'Crotale' systems to help. These are mobile weapons that shoot down incoming threats like cruise missiles and explosive 'Shahed' drones. They will help Ukraine stop Russian attacks more effectively.

This news comes as leaders from several countries met in Kyiv to talk about helping Ukraine. Both France and the UK are promising more support. The leaders want to make sure Ukraine has what it needs to protect its people and its power grid.

Even with tough talk and threats from Russia, the UK says it is staying by Ukraine's side. Andy Burnham, a top UK official, confirmed that his country is with Ukraine 'all the way.'

President Zelenskyy is already looking ahead. He has asked that the next big meeting of countries supporting Ukraine take place in September. He wants to keep the momentum going so that Ukraine can keep getting the help it needs to defend itself.

The main goal right now is to block Russian attacks from the sky. By getting more advanced gear like the Crotale systems, Ukraine hopes to save more lives and keep its cities safe.
