Hundreds of Russians are still missing. Their families don't know if their loved ones are alive, dead, or being held as prisoners of war.
People in the affected towns say they aren't getting many answers from the Russian government. Families are trying to find information on their own, often using social media or talking to other people who lived through the attack.
It is a very painful situation. Some families are searching through lists of prisoners to see if their relatives appear there. Others are waiting for any news at all about where their family members went when the fighting started.
