Leaders from countries all over the world just finished a big meeting in Yerevan, Armenia. This meeting was called COP17. The goal was to find ways to protect plants, animals, and the environment.

They did reach a deal. They agreed that countries need to work faster to save nature.

However, there is a big problem. Even though they have a plan, nobody can agree on how to pay for it. Many countries that need help protecting their land say they don't have enough cash. The richer countries have not stepped up enough to help fill that gap.

Some people are very upset about this. Some critics even called the current way these meetings are run a "bunch of baloney." They worry that because of the money fights, countries are going to fail to meet their goals.

Right now, experts say we are on track to miss the targets set to stop the loss of nature. Without money, the agreement is just words on paper. Leaders will have to figure out the funding issue soon, or the plan to save the planet might fall apart.
