Putin: Sending European troops to Ukraine means war with Russia
The Russian leader says that if European countries send their own soldiers to help Ukraine, it will lead to a direct war with Russia.

Vladimir Putin has sent a very clear warning to Europe. He says that if European countries decide to send their own troops to fight in Ukraine, it will be considered an act of war against Russia.
Lately, leaders in Europe have been talking about what they might do to help Ukraine. Some have even discussed the idea of sending a peacekeeping force. Putin is now making it very clear how he feels about that.
He says that if any European soldiers step onto Ukrainian land to fight, Russia will treat those countries as enemies. Essentially, he is saying that this move would turn the conflict into a direct fight between Russia and all of Europe.
These comments come at a time when tensions are already very high. Many world leaders are trying to figure out how to support Ukraine without starting a much larger, global conflict. Putin’s latest statement is meant to draw a sharp line in the sand, telling everyone exactly what he thinks will happen if they cross it.
