A big wave of violence has hit Yemen, and it is forcing thousands of people from their homes. Fighting is spreading along the coast of the Red Sea as Houthi rebels push forward.
People who escaped the area describe a feeling of total panic. They say they had to leave everything behind just to stay alive.
Recent reports say nearly 50,000 people have been displaced by this new surge in conflict. Many are searching for safety in areas that are harder to reach.
It isn't just happening on land, either. Because the fighting is getting so close to the water, more than 2,000 people have already fled across the sea to the country of Djibouti.
Those who are stuck in Yemen say they are living in fear. They are worried about their loved ones and are desperate for things to settle down. For now, the situation remains dangerous, and more families are expected to try to escape as the rebels continue to move into new areas.
