Turkey Pushes for New Black Sea Grain Deal
Turkey is talking to Russia and Ukraine to restart a safe path for grain shipments across the Black Sea.

Turkey is working hard to get a new deal in place for moving grain across the Black Sea. Right now, there are concerns that ongoing fighting between Russia and Ukraine could make it hard to get food to the rest of the world.
Turkey says they are in contact with both sides to find a solution. They want to set up a new "grain corridor," which is basically a safe lane in the water that ships can use to deliver food without getting caught in the crossfire.
Even with the current tension, some businesses say they are doing okay. For example, a company called Ulusoy Un said that its wheat supply has not been hurt by the recent problems in the area.
However, officials remain worried that Russian attacks in the region could eventually mess up global food supplies. Turkey is taking the lead on these talks, hoping to keep the shipments moving so food prices don't spike for people around the world.
