Tensions are rising as Iran issues a stern warning to other nations. Tehran, the capital of Iran, says that any country that helps the United States launch attacks will become a "legitimate target."
This means if the U.S. uses military bases in Europe or elsewhere to strike Iran, Iran plans to hit back at those specific countries. A member of the Iranian government told Euronews that Europe could be in the line of fire if they allow the U.S. to use their land for military action.
For a long time, many European leaders did not think Iran's problems were their own. Now, that view is changing. There is growing worry about whether Europe is truly ready to handle direct threats from Iran.
Meanwhile, the situation remains complicated. On one hand, there is talk that some diplomatic talks are making progress. On the other hand, Iran is still threatening to expand its strikes if the U.S. continues its current path.
Separately, there is also chatter in the news about Iran’s desire for revenge against Donald Trump, with some reports suggesting they are planning a strong response.
The world is watching closely to see if these threats turn into reality or if diplomacy can keep things from getting worse.
