Several airplanes traveling across Europe had to change their plans today because of bomb threats.
Officials say at least seven flights were targeted. Because of these threats, the planes were forced to divert, which means they had to land at airports that were not their original destinations.
Emergency crews checked the planes once they landed. Authorities have now confirmed that these were hoax threats. This means there was no actual bomb or danger on any of the flights.
Even though the threats were fake, they caused a lot of trouble for passengers and flight crews. Many flights were delayed while police and airport staff made sure the planes were safe to continue.
Experts are now looking into who sent the threats and why. For now, flights are slowly getting back to their normal schedules.
