Russia launched a new wave of drone attacks across Ukraine today. The strikes happened shortly after two high-profile American visitors—Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner—left the country.

At least eight people were killed in the attacks across the country. In the capital city of Kyiv, five people died.

One of the drones hit a building that houses a television station. Despite the strike, the journalists working there are still trying to do their jobs.

The attacks come after a brief pause in fighting while the American envoys were in town. Once they left, the violence started up again immediately.

Rescue workers are currently at the sites of the explosions. The death toll could change as crews continue to search through the wreckage.
