Russia launched a new series of attacks on Ukraine, causing significant damage in the city of Odesa. Missiles hit the area, setting a large apartment building on fire and injuring at least 35 people.

Among those affected by the violence was professional tennis player Dayana Yastremska. She reported that her family’s home was destroyed in the attack. Yastremska is one of Ukraine’s most well-known sports stars, and the news of her home being hit has drawn fresh attention to the civilian toll of the war.

In addition to the strike in Odesa, there were reports of attacks in other parts of the country. At least 11 people have been killed in various strikes across Ukraine over the past day.

Ukraine also fought back, targeting what officials called Russia's "shadow fleet." This refers to a group of ships Russia uses to move goods and avoid international sanctions.

The situation in the Black Sea region remains tense. Because of these constant attacks, shipping lanes used for trade have been disrupted, making it difficult for goods to move in and out of the area safely. Emergency workers are currently on the scene in Odesa to help those injured and put out the fires caused by the blasts.
