Ukraine has launched a major series of attacks against military targets inside Russia. These strikes hit several key spots, including training centers and industrial facilities used for the war.
Here is what we know happened:
* **Training Center Hit:** Ukrainian forces struck a center where Russia trains its army sergeants. This is a significant blow to their ability to train new leaders.
* **Missile Facilities:** Ukraine confirmed it hit a plant that makes fuel for cruise missiles. Another strike targeted a facility used for disposing of missiles. Experts say this could hurt Russia’s ability to keep up its strategic weapon programs.
* **Oil Depot on Fire:** An oil storage site near the city of Belgorod caught fire after an attack overnight. Videos showed flames lighting up the night sky.
* **Heavy Toll in September:** Looking back at the last month, Ukraine’s specialized Alpha unit said they took out 26 Russian air defense systems. They also reported that they neutralized over 7,600 Russian troops during September.
These attacks show that Ukraine is continuing to push its reach deep into Russian territory. By hitting fuel plants and training centers, they are trying to make it harder for the Russian military to keep fighting.
